About

I taught 2nd grade language arts and social studies at Downtown Elementary School  until August.  I am now one of the instructional resource teachers! Most of my students are K-3, but I do work with a few 4th graders.  My job is to implement the IEPs (Individual Eduactional Plan) for my students who have special needs.  I have taught students with mild to severe special needs for most of my career, so this move is a natural one for me.

I live in midtown Memphis with my husband, Chip, our dog Rocky, and son Sam. Sam is attending The University of Texas (my alma mater!) this fall.  He’s a special needs child, too, and if you ask, I’ll tell you our story.

I believe in honest communication, and I think I am easy to talk to. Please let me hear from you.  The more we talk about our mutual interest (your child!), the better.
